Is this just wrong? loved ones insisting on having thier deceased "dressed" and clean before cremating?

I don't know. I know a family who had a loved one p away at home. It was well expected. SHe was on hospice service. The patient died at 3am. The family insisited that nurse come to the home soley to to "dress" the body and in reality she was due to be cremated. Is this just silly? I felt so bad that they insisted on having a nurse come out to dress thier family member.. it was an insane use of a skilled medical person.
