Almost got the ring of death on a refurbished x-box?any advice?

I moved my x-box to my basement so i could use a bigger tele. After a moved it and hooked it up, turned it on and got what i thought was the ring of death ( although the xbox is refurbished and i didn't think you could get it on a refurbished model ) all player bars were lit up red except for the last one. I freaked out only had it for like 4 days. anyways after taking out the hard drive restarting it, then putting it back in it was fine, trouble is in a couple of months i gotta move it again. Has this happened to anyone else ? any advice on why this happened, ?, should it not be moved? seems retarded
