Descriptions of the old or "vintage" tube stations of the London Underground?

There are a few stations which have been closed for some years: Down St (Piccadilly; The Aldwych and the Strand, to mention a few. They are often used for filming, I have been down a few of these and they are left in their original state. I'm sure if you contact Transport for London they can give you information on them.
