Is phlebotomy a good field to go into? ?
I'm getting my CNA at the end of this semester and I'm also getting my bachelors in speech communications. I'm looking into other options as the job field in PR is on the decline because of the economy. I don't want to end up working non-profit for $17,000 a year with no guarantee my job will be there the next day. It seems the way to go is in the health field. I plan to get my RN but I was wondering if this is a good field (phlebotmoy not nursing I KNOW that is a good field). According to the website they make $27,000-31,000 a year and I see job postings for this all the time. I want something that will make a little more than a CNA while I go to nursing school for two years and until I find a good nursing job. I can't relocate, I have two children and my fiance is still in school. I live in the St. Louis area so finding a job shouldn't be hard. Is this a rewarding career? Does anyone know of any sites about the day to day stuff a phlebotomist does? Thanks.
